TEACH PTY – Become a Volunteer

TeachPTY is a volunteer organization founded in Panama, Rep. of Panama, dedicated to teaching basic English using interactive/creative methods. Our objective is to attract young professionals, college students and recently graduated individuals who want an unforgettable experience while giving back to the community.

Functioning as an English-teaching after school program, we bring together international volunteers with underprivileged third-grade students from Pedasi, Panama. Our goal is to improve English-language education in elementary public schools in Panama, while enabling cross-cultural awareness. By improving their basic and oral English skills, the students will have a greater opportunity to continue with education or secure employment, especially in the tourism and service industry.

We are located in the small town of Pedasi, in the province of Los Santos and our goal is to expand to the rest of the country in the future.
